Overview

Vytas Babusis is an attorney representing employers and insurers in workers’ compensation matters in Washington. Vytas’s practice is informed by his prior experience in workers’ compensation and medical defense, where he handled complex matters involving medical causation, claim exposure, and litigation strategy, and developed a focus on early evaluation and efficient resolution of claims. He earned his J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the law review and was inducted into the Cornelius Honor Society.

Before entering legal practice, Vytas built an international career in Italy in business development and operations, managing teams and advising organizations across multiple jurisdictions. That experience, combined with his background in business ownership and agriculture, informs his practical, solutions-driven approach to defending claims and advising clients on risk.

I focus on being a responsive, reliable partner to my clients. Workers’ compensation cases can move quickly, and I prioritize clear communication, early case evaluation, and proactive strategy so clients always know where their cases stand.

I work closely with employers, adjusters, and medical providers to develop the record efficiently and position claims for resolution—whether through settlement, mediation, or hearing. My goal is to make the process as predictable and manageable as possible while protecting my clients’ interests and supporting their long-term success.

Outside of work, Vytas enjoys exploring cultures through cooking and language—learning both at the level where people actually live. He finds it is more natural to find solutions to and understand problems while enjoying a meal, where conversation tends to be more thoughtful and measured.
