Overview

Katherine, born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, earned her Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies in 2011 from the University of Memphis. This led to a judicial externship with the Honorable Ilisa Rooke-Ley, who presided over the Veteran Treatment court in the Circuit Court of Lane County. During her final year of law school, Katherine moved to Portland to extern at the Metropolitan Public Defender office, where she assisted clients in expunging their criminal records. Additionally, she served as Co-President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and Marketing Director for the Sports and Entertainment Law Forum.

Prior to joining the firm, Katherine gained valuable experience practicing in multiple areas of law including family law, criminal defense, juvenile delinquency, dependency, and in-house litigation counsel.

Katherine joined Reinisch Wilson in July 2024 as an Associate in the Washington practice group.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Katherine enjoys going to concerts, the theater, and sporting events. She especially enjoys when these events include travel. She and her husband have a goal to visit every Major League baseball park in the U.S. (they’ve been to 9 out of 30 so far).

As a zealous advocate for my clients, I am dedicated to ensuring that every client receives the utmost care and attention when navigating the complexities of the legal system. I believe that successful representation extends past legal expertise, encompassing empathy, compassion, trust, and respect for all parties involved. The legal process can often be overwhelming, and I strive to make that process as simple as possible for my clients. I do this by having a thorough understanding of the case, staying up to date with the everchanging laws, and maintaining communication with the client. I believe effective communication and accessibility are both key in devising the best defensive strategy to meet my clients’ goals and reach the optimal resolution.
