Overview

Attorney Blake J. Howell is an associate attorney who concentrates exclusively on worker’s compensation law. Blake grew up in Southern California and moved up to Portland, Oregon in 2012 to attend Lewis and Clark College to further his academic and athletic career. After finishing his degree in History at Lewis and Clark College in 2016, Blake traveled south to Salem, Oregon where he would attend Willamette University College of Law. While in law school, Blake served as a law clerk for the Washington County District Attorney’s Office, handling court proceedings for both dependency and delinquency related juvenile matters. Prior to joining the firm, Blake worked for another workers’ compensation defense firm as an associate attorney.

An integral part of workers’ compensation is ensuring that all parties are treated fairly, as this helps foster goodwill and long-term success for both employers and employees. I help clients understand their obligations when an injury occurs and adopt pragmatic and effective practices that help injured workers recover as quickly as possible so they can continue contributing to a company’s growth and success. I also understand that each client and situation is not the same and will tailor each case to its own needs. As an athlete through high school and college, I learned that clear communication with my team and the ability to adapt to any situation is prudent to success.

As a former NCAA baseball pitcher, Blake is an avid sports enthusiast. He has devoted years to coaching baseball, helping young children develop a love for the game, and advancing the knowledge and skills for older adolescent athletes. When not practicing law, Blake can often be found on the golf course or coaching on the baseball diamond.
