Reinisch Wilson Weier PC welcomes Gene L. Platt
Reinisch Wilson Weier PC welcomes Gene L. Platt, a veteran Oregon workers’ compensation and longshore defense attorney.
“We are excited and privileged to have Gene join us,” said Firm President-Elect Christy Doornink. “Gene is well respected in the industry and will be a great mentor to our associates and partners.”
“I am very much looking forward to my new association with Reinisch Wilson Weier PC,” said Platt. “For years, I have respected and appreciated the preeminence of this firm in workers’ compensation defense and am excited to be a part of the firm.”
For nearly 40 years, Platt has served employers, carriers and claims service companies in Oregon, for both state workers’ compensation claims and for the defense of claims that arise as a result of the Longshore and Harbor Workers Act. He was previously a litigator for SAIF and has most recently been a sole-practitioner.
Platt is admitted to the Oregon State Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Oregon District and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He received his Juris Doctorate in the charter class at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University Hawaii.
