Overview

Rick is a litigation attorney who has defended employers in Oregon Workers’ Compensation matters since 2005. He started his career as a workers’ compensation claims examiner with a local processing agency. During that time, Rick became interested in the legal aspect of the system and attended law school in the evening while working during the day as an examiner. Since graduation, Rick has focused his practice on all aspects of workers’ compensation defense from providing initial claim processing advice to litigating complex claims before the Workers’ Compensation Board. Rick previously worked as a defense attorney for SAIF Corporation and as in-house workers’ compensation counsel for City County Insurance Services in addition to years spent at another defense firm.
